Sterile Gauze Swab

Gauze Swab With X-Ray Detectable Threads Gauze Swabs with X-ray detectable threads are latex free and safe, suited for use in the OR. Every gauze swab contains an x-ray detectable thread(blue, polypropylene, polyester thread, barium sulfate, or cotton X-ray threads). They are normally edge-folded edges into a much-reduced risk of fibers coming off the material and getting stuck in the wound.
Packed into sterile pouches and sterilized before use in the OR, they can absorb the blood and stop the bleeding during the operation. The gauze swabs with x-ray detectable threads are classified as Class IIa medical devices per the intended purpose based on the MDR 2017/745 Annex 5.
